Zama
Set in the late 18th century, this film follows Don Diego de Zama, a colonial officer of the Spanish Crown stationed in a remote South American outpost. As he awaits a long-promised transfer to a more prestigious location, Zama’s life becomes a series of increasingly surreal and existential challenges. Directed by Lucrecia Martel, the film is a visually striking exploration of colonialism and personal disillusionment. The movie can be viewed on Soap2day for free.
