
Wood Job!: Kamusari nânâ nichijô
This poignant coming-of-age film, adapted from a novel centered around forestry, follows Yuki Hirano, who dreams of a laid-back life, perhaps with a part-time job, after finishing high school. However, his plans take an unexpected turn when his homeroom teacher informs him of a job offer. Upon returning home, Yuki finds his mother packing his belongings. It turns out that she and his teacher have arranged for him to become a forestry trainee post-graduation. Yuki is sent to Kamusari Village, where he starts his new role and gradually becomes enchanted by the natural beauty and the kind-hearted villagers.
