Before being sent back to Africa for trial, a well-known Belgian criminal is placed in the custody of the Marseilles police for just under a day. However, the clever criminal manages to deceive the inept officer Emilien into believing that he is merely a minor employee of the Belgian embassy who has been framed by a cunning mastermind.
