Satovcha is a quaint Bulgarian village home to 2,021 individuals from diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds, including Orthodox Christians, Muslim Turks, and Evangelist Gypsies. Historically, these groups were separated by a tumultuous past filled with conflicts. However, they have discovered a path to unity through a straightforward medium: food. The dishes they share are now rich with pride, identity, shared history, and camaraderie, yet this newfound harmony comes at a cost.
