Mighty Joe Young

In this 1998 adventure film directed by Ron Underwood, a young woman named Jill Young, played by Charlize Theron, forms a deep bond with a giant gorilla named Joe. Together, they face the challenges of relocating Joe from Africa to a wildlife preserve in California, where they must protect him from poachers and other threats. Bill Paxton stars as Gregg O’Hara, a zoologist who aids Jill in her mission. The film is a remake of the 1949 classic and features impressive special effects for its time.
