Magic Kimono

“Magic Kimono” follows the journey of Keiko, a middle-aged Japanese woman who has been emotionally withdrawn for years following a family tragedy in Kobe. The simple pleasure of eating and the feelings it evokes have been her means of coping. Reluctantly, she becomes part of a group of Japanese women heading to Northern Europe to take part in a kimono exhibition set against the enchanting art nouveau backdrop of Riga. While performing, Keiko unexpectedly encounters her husband, who vanished two decades earlier and now seeks to mend their relationship and understand the person Keiko has become.
