Macabre

“Macabre,” internationally known as “Rumah Dara” and titled “Darah” in Singapore, is a 2010 Indonesian horror/slasher film. The story follows a group trying to flee from a house owned by a mysterious woman named Dara and her family. It is revealed that the family are murderers and cannibals seeking immortality. The film is an expansion of the short film “Dara.” Before its release in Indonesia, it was showcased at various festivals in 2009. In Singapore, “Rumah Dara” was released with an M18 rating due to its graphic violence and gore.
