Luther the Geek
As a child, Luther, known as “The Freak,” witnesses a group of men provoking a geek—a performer who bites off chicken heads and drinks their blood—into action. Amidst the chaos, Luther accidentally bites his lip and develops a taste for blood. Fast forward about thirty years, and a parole board convenes to discuss Luther’s potential release. During this time, Luther has been committing murders. A naive parole board trainee, swayed by liberal views, supports his release, allowing Luther to roam free. Now equipped with a unique set of metal teeth, Luther embarks on a spree, “biting the heads off” numerous unsuspecting victims until the suspenseful conclusion. The film is particularly notable for its sparse dialogue, with long silent stretches, and features Luther clucking maniacally like a chicken as the primary sound.
