Life in Bloom
The film chronicles the life of Russian biologist Ivan Michurin. In 1912, Michurin turns down opportunities to work in America, choosing instead to pursue his research within the Russian Empire. Despite facing opposition from the tsarist regime, the church, and traditional scientific circles, Michurin receives backing from leading scientists in the country and remains dedicated to his work. Following the October Revolution, his modest garden in Kozlov, his hometown, is transformed into a significant state-run nursery.
