Blood in the Water

Percy and Veronica have spent the summer looking after a luxurious, modern home in the Hollywood Hills, but their return to the reality of New York, with its jobs and early career challenges, is just around the corner. Despite the idyllic setting, they are eager to leave, as their peace was shattered by an unwelcome visit from Freedgood, a former college acquaintance. Since their days in liberal arts, Freedgood’s life has spiraled into imprisonment, dubious business dealings, and drug trafficking. We soon discover that this has led to his downfall, attracted the attention of a curious LAPD detective, and made the couple yearn for the everyday struggles that now seem preferable to remaining in their deceptive paradise.
