Hae-gap is a filmmaker known for his documentaries that criticize the government. His son, Na-ra, runs away, but is eventually brought back by Man-deok, a drifter staying at Hae-gap’s home. Man-deok later confronts the chief developer of Deul Island to prevent its exploitation, with Na-ra assisting him, which leads to Na-ra’s arrest. To secure Na-ra’s release, Hae-gap agrees to cease his anti-government filmmaking and relocates his family to Deul Island. There, Na-ra observes his father living a peaceful life and begins to open up. However, when a construction company arrives to evict the island’s residents, threatening their homes, Hae-gap organizes a protest, putting his family in serious jeopardy.
